Thanks so much for the translation, this article was great! As an animation artist working in the industry in the US, I can totally relate. Especially now when work is so scarce, it's very hard to get steady work, let alone well paid. And as an anime fan, I do hope Janica is able to intervene because product aside, animators are human too, and I just wish anyone in the field to have a decent job, with decent wages, insurance, representation, and things you'd expect from a studio, no matter how big or small.

The original post was actually made in mid-May, but the blog received a bit of buzz during the late August/early September period, which is when I first saw it. I haven't seen any significant changes, but I'm not that intense of an industry watcher, to be honest. Anyway, I imagine that if changes are being made this quickly, then they still wouldn't have been made public.

There are some more posts along these lines, too, so I hope to have the time and the permission to translate them in the near future.

Thank you so much for this translation. It really helps break down what's going in the industry. It's a depressing read, even for an optimist like me.

If the date on the ANN article is any indication, this blog post was originally published early September/late August. Can you give us an update on what, if anything, the AJA has done about this?
