I hear an anime producer in distress!
It seems not enough hikkys have watched all the Makoto Shinkai films,
and those who did watch them failed to post about them online!
Internet forums to the rescuuuuuueeeeee!

Yes, Forum User “Laz” who must have already watched Shinkai films several times due to their having 873 posts on a Shinkai fan forum is going to host an event where he/she watches every movie five times in 24 hours!
I thought it was an incentive to host events in your town or on campus,
so I looked to find out where to register.
But I was wrong!
Silly me!
Apparently what you’re supposed to do is this:
1. Wait until Friday evening
2. When Friday evening arrives, watch all of Shinkai’s films at least once (?)
3. Post about it on their website.
This is all!
Now you’re a lonely hikky on the Internet simulating a film festival!
Sounds like fun, does it not?
It’s almost like hosting a real event at some real world location,
but it does not require the scary possibilities of having to talk with people or leave one’s home.
Maybe Earthlings do not understand the incentive to sit at your computer and do this.
Well, one day Lord Shinkai will descend from Heaven and the world will be plunged into permanent late afternoon.
Foolish humans. Ha ha. I eagerly await the day when the Lord will judge you.
Hmm… maybe this event won’t attract many new fans after all.
But! It had one exciting effect!
If you don’t own a copy or (heaven forbid) have never heard of Shinkai,
you will be able to watch all the films for free on Crunchyroll!
Thus proving once again that Crunchyroll is a far more useful website than any Internet forum.
Crunchyroll streamed fansubs for everyone so that you didn’t have to be a hikky to figure out how to download them.
Now they stream licensed content and actually pay money to the creators.
It’s as easy as clicking a link.
You can even tell your non-hikky friends!
So, check back Friday evening for free Shinkai movies.
