Stupid observations about White Album
I remembered White Album from some old Futaba flashes, so I thought I’d watch it. It’s not really enough to hold my interest (especially since the show seems to be somewhat targeted towards girls, even though none of them would ever watch it), but the direction is a bit strange, what with the film-strip effects and putting text on the screen at random points instead of conversation. It almost looks like they watched ef and decided to do that, as close as you can without having to actually change your animation style.
The director is someone boring, but I recognize the character designer Kou Yoshinari from the best scene in Nanoha:
And who can we blame for this?
Nana MIZUKI
Rideback (TV) as Rin Ogata
White Album (TV) as Rina Ogata
Now I guess I’ll watch Hidamari or TEXHNOLYZE or something.

I really owe it to myself to watch TEXHNOLYZE, actually.

I kind of don’t like it so far, but I’m only halfway through and there’s another plot arc coming up. Yoshii is such an annoying character, it has to be intentional.

Yoshii is awesome! He’s the guy what talks!

Oh, wow. Being a fan of Kou(&You?) Yoshinari’s designs for Valkyrie Profile I’m kind of interested in White Album now… I had no idea he was an animator. (Though I did think the top pict. of White Album’s Home Page was kind of suspect~!)
