Hey guys, due to unforseen circumstances causing me to be away from my keyboard a good 12 hours a day more than I had originally anticipated this summer, this blog is more or less on hiatus, at least for the 15 posts per day part. Honestly, you can just bookmark the sites on the right (especially this one) and look at the goofy pictures yourself. It might start back up in September, but we’ll see!

Noting that current fashion in Japan is “manga-like”, vogue has decided to do a manga special in their latest issue. There’ll be a special feature on the influence of manga on fashion, as well as a section where manga characters will wear spring and summer collection items picked by the magazine’s fashion director. Finally at the VOGUE NIPPON and Comme des Garçons MAGAZINE ALIVE shop, they will be selling collaboration t-shirts featuring famous manga-ka’s illustrations of famous fashion icons, including Karl Lagerfeld x CLAMP, John Galliano x Hagio Moto, Donatella Versace x Monkey Punch, Coco Rocha x Peach-Pit, and others. The issue is out on the 28th of this month.
