The front cover of the new issue of WJ is showing that the longest-running manga series ever, Kochira Katsushika-ku Kameari Kōen-mae Hashutsujo, is getting a TV drama adaptation, with Shingo Katori of SMAP playing the lead role.

Noting that current fashion in Japan is “manga-like”, vogue has decided to do a manga special in their latest issue. There’ll be a special feature on the influence of manga on fashion, as well as a section where manga characters will wear spring and summer collection items picked by the magazine’s fashion director. Finally at the VOGUE NIPPON and Comme des Garçons MAGAZINE ALIVE shop, they will be selling collaboration t-shirts featuring famous manga-ka’s illustrations of famous fashion icons, including Karl Lagerfeld x CLAMP, John Galliano x Hagio Moto, Donatella Versace x Monkey Punch, Coco Rocha x Peach-Pit, and others. The issue is out on the 28th of this month.
